By December 9, 2025No Comments2 min read

In our previous blog post, we have completed the agent installation and configuration and now we will connect to the Veridata Server and we will establish the handshake with the clients/agents.

In this blog post we will go through with

  1. Source Database Connection
  2. Target Database Connection
  3. Connectivity test to the both source and target databases
  4. Creating Groups for the comparision
  5. Creating the job

Access to the veridata server and click on connections and then create a connection. We have to enter the Connection name and description.

In the next screen, we will enter the hostname of the source, the agent port and the database type “Oracle”. After this click on verify connection and ensure agent validation is successful. Similarly we have to complete for the target as well.

In the next screen we have to enter the database schema and its hould be the data source where the tables are present. After that we have to perform validation if the server was able to establish the database connection.

After configuring both the connections we can see the status is up and running, If in case agent is down or incorrect entries the status will be marked as Down.

After configuring connections we have to group the both source and target for the data comparision as below. On the left hand side the source information and on the right hand side we need to enter the target details.

In the next screen we can see other options like wildcard usage or if any partitions tables etc.

Now the source schema AVUKWEB tables are mapped and we can select which tables we would like to compare with the target.

We can see the preview of mapping and we have to ensure the mapping is correct. Hypercare required if the source and target tables are different.

Now it will generate the compare pairs as below

Finally we will create the job

Now we have to add the group which we created in previous step” GGDB”

Now after submitting we can see the job was created successfully.

In the next blog we will cover running job and monitoring and various options.
